How do I check out a museum pass?
Ask at the checkout desk to see if a museum pass is available for checkout. Museum passes can be checked out for 7 days. You may use it once during that one week period.
• You will be given a receipt with a due date printed on it. This receipt is your pass to the attraction.
• Take your receipt to the attraction before the end of the day on the due date.
• Passes must be used by the due date. The receipt is not valid after the due date.
*This is a one-time use pass. Lost receipts will not be re-printed. Passes may only be checked out one at a time to adults 17 or older.
How many people can get in using a museum pass?
Mayborn Museum: 2 Adults and 4 Children
Dr. Pepper Museum: 6 Guest
Cameron Park Zoo: 4 Guest
Texas Ranger Hall of Fame: 2 Adults and 2 Children
Texas Sports Hall of Fame: 2 Adults and 2 Children
What happens if I lose my receipt for a museum pass?
Lost receipts will not be re-printed.
Do I have to return my pass to the library?
No. The pass will be taken by museum staff at the entrance. You will not have to return your pass to the library
How old must I be to check out a museum pass?
You must be 17 or older.
Can I place a hold on a museum pass?
Museum passes are first come, first served. The museum pass is library specific: you must be physically present at the library to check out a museum pass.
Why are there only a limited amount of museum passes available for checkout at my library?
Museum passes have been generously donated to the Hewitt Public Library and are available on a first come first served opportunity
I live outside of Hewitt but I have a Library card. Can I still check out a pass?
Yes. Passes are available with valid Hewitt Public Library cards.
Is a museum pass good at any other museums?
Currently, the pass is only available at the Mayborn Museum, Texas Ranger Museum, Dr. Pepper Museum, Texas Sports Hall of Fame and Cameron Park Zoo in Waco Texas.
