Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS)
1-800-924-8677
The Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) offers our City retirement plan. Employees are required to contribute 7% of their earnings. The City matches this contribution on a 2 to 1 ratio. After five years of employment, employees are considered to be vested. Employees are eligible to retire with 20 years of service at any age or at age 60 with at least five years of service.
The City of Hewitt offers three different medical plans that provide comprehensive medical and prescription drug coverage. The plans also offer many resources and tools to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle.
This plan offers you the freedom and flexibility to use the dentist of your choice. However, you will maximize your benefits and reduce your out-of-pocket costs if you choose a dentist who participates in the in-network.
The vision plan gives you the freedom to seek care from the provider of your choice. However, if you choose a provider participating in the VSP network, you will maximize your benefits and reduce your out-of-pocket costs.
