Our City retirement plan is offered through the Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS). Employees are required to contribute 7% of their earnings. The City matches this contribution on a 2 to 1 ratio. After 5 years of employment, employees are considered to be vested. Employees are eligible to retire with 20 years of service at any age or at age 60 with at least 5 years of service.
Employees must register on the TMRS website to view their retirement account, update beneficiaries, and complete retirement projections. Register at https://www.tmrs.org/MyTMRS/Logon
