Adam Miles, City Manager

City Manager Adam Miles 

The City Manager is appointed by the City Council and is responsible for the administration of all operations of the city, including the Police, Community Services and Administration.  He is responsible for making recommendations concerning policies and programs to the Council; implementing policy decisions made by the Council; preparing and submitting to the council an annual budget and being responsible for its administration after adoption; and keeping the council advised of the financial condition and future needs of the city.

The City Secretary is appointed by the City Manager and is the Administration Department Head and Records Management Officer of the city.  Duties include: preparing and posting city council agendas and public notices of meetings; keeping minutes of such meetings; advertising public hearings, legal notices and adopted ordinances in a newspaper of general circulation; coordinating appointments to the City’s advisory boards; conducting all City elections; managing the retention and destruction of official documents in compliance with the State’s Records Retention requirements; and performing other duties as the City Manager assigns and those provided in the charter or by ordinance.
