  1. Message from the Mayor

The City of Hewitt is one of the fastest growing cities in McLennan County.  For the past 3 years we have grown at around 8% a year.  Our population estimate at this time is 15,500 residents, which the census showed we should achieve by 2020.  As Mayor, I am a firm believer in the Safety of Our Citizens and our City Employees.   This was evident this past year when Hewitt was named the Second Safest City to live in Texas.  In 2014, the new Public Safety building opened and on April 14th we debuted the new City Hall and Hewitt Public Library.
